Son Of Ex-Nike VP Used Employee Discount To Purchase Shoes For Reseller Business

Joe Hebert, the 19-year-old son of ex-Nike VP Ann Hebert has been in headlines this past week — this after it was learned that he used his mother’s credit card and employee discount to purchase shoes for his reseller business.

Subsequent to the scandal breaking, Hebert resigned from her position and now Joe’s doings have been uncovered via an internal investigation. It’s been reported that West Coast Streetwear, Joe’s Oregon-based business, was selling upward of $200,000 a month, at one point.

Helping him reach that goal was his mother’s employee discount at Nike’s company store — which was formerly known as the employee store that only Nike employees, their friends and family, and those with a guest pass have access. A reseller reveals, “He just has people go in there, buy a bunch of stuff, come back out. Then they drive to his warehouse and drop it off.” Despite using his mother’s discount, Joe claims he never sought inside information from her about Nike.

It’s also reported that in 2018, Hebert disclosed to Nike that her son was a reseller, but at the time, a spokesperson claimed “there was no violation of company policy.”
