Nicole Fegan who is an attorney for a YSL defendant is currently going viral after fans noticed her Instagram account once the news began to break about her being arrested on two gang charges unrelated to the high-profile case, authorities said.
As we previously reported, Atlanta police confirmed Nicole Fegan was taken into custody in Gwinnett County and brought to the Fulton County Jail on charges of participating in criminal street gang activity and criminal solicitation to commit the offense of tampering with evidence. Authorities said they were looking into a deadly September 27, 2022, shooting involving two groups downtown when they learned that Fegan contacted a suspect and told him he had active warrants for his arrest.
It was also revealed that Fegan told the suspect to dispose of his phone before police arrested him. Now social media users are having a field day after noticing her Instagram videos.
Fegan is mainly known for the high-profile case she took on when Daquan Reed was on trial for the murder of a 7-year-old girl named Kennedy Maxie.
Kennedy Maxie was only 7 years old when she was shot and killed outside of Phipps Plaza days before Christmas 2020. The little girl was riding in the back seat of her aunt’s car on December 21, 2020, when prosecutors said Reed opened fire in the Phipps parking lot. They allege he fired the shots because he was angry he had just been robbed outside the shopping mall.
Kennedy Maxie, 7, was shot while riding in a car with her aunt after Christmas shopping, according to Atlanta police.
Fegan argued that the witness testimony and physical evidence did not match up, encouraging the jury to consider the evidence carefully.
Jurors heard from multiple witnesses during the trial including Kennedy’s mom Mariah Maxie and her aunt Jade Maxie, who were both in the car when the shots rang out.
Ultimately Reed was convicted on all charges.
