Shots fired? Fans are currently having a field day with Future’s new song where he seemingly takes a jab at his ex Ciara’s husband!

The song for “Turn Yo Clic Up” which is a collaboration with Quavo dropped on Friday. Future raps in his now-controversial verse, “Big dawg status, bill hopper/ I ball in his mall for my brothers/ Goyard bag, tote the Corduroy/ I got it out the field, f**kk Russell.”

As many are aware, Ciara and Future started dating each other in 2013. In October 2013, the duo engaged, but they later called the wedding off just three months after giving birth to their son, Future Zahir Wilburn. Reports claimed at the time that the reason for their split was infidelity on Future’s side. Ciara began dating Russell Wilson in 2015 and eventually married the NFL player superstar that following year. Since then, there’s been a lot of static between the guys. It’s unclear why they’re unable to keep things cordial but it’s clear that Future still feels some type of way about the athlete. Here’s how social media is reacting to Future’s lyrics:

Now, this is not the first dig Future made towards Wilson. Back in 2019 during an interview, he claimed he wasn’t being a real man as he does “exactly what [Ciara] tell him to do.”

“He not being a man in that position,” Future said on his Apple Music show Freebandz Radio. “He not telling her, ‘Chill out with that on the internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband.“

Future went on to explain at the time that when he was dating the “Level Up” singer things were completely different.

“If that was me, she couldn’t even bring his name up. She’d know that,” he said. “She couldn’t even bring her exes’ names up. Don’t give that s— no energy. It’s about me. I’m taking care of everything.”

Welp, despite how Future still feels, for the last several years Ciara and Wilson have been going super strong. Earlier this month, the musician, 37, and athlete, 34, honored their seventh wedding anniversary with sweet Instagram tributes that included sweet candid photos from their marriage.

Ciara shared a photo of the two taken in Kyoto, Japan along with the caption that read, “In the Bible, the number 7 represents a full and complete world,” she captioned the post. “My heart is complete and full of gratitude for the love we share. I have everything I want and need in you. Happy 7th Anniversary @DangeRussWilson. Thank you for loving me the way you do. I love you so much. Totemo Aishiteru🫶🏽.”

Wilson continued the celebration by sharing more photos of them together. He wrote in his caption, “God made you perfect for me,” he wrote in the caption. “You are my Peace in a storm. You are my Joy in sadness. You are my Comfort in trouble. I Thank Jesus for you. My Forever. Year 7 x Forever. Always & Forever. @Ciara.”
