Social Media Reacts To Jennifer Lopez Calling Herself ‘A Black Girl From The Bronx’

Jennifer Lopez is facing some serious backlash after hopping on a track with Colombian singer Maluma. On their song, “Lonely,” Lopez calls herself “a black girl from the Bronx,” and social media quickly reacted.

While it may not be uncommon for Latinos living among African Americans to assimilate or identify with Black culture, some users on Twitter side-eyed “Jenny From The Block” for singing, “Siempre serás tu negrita del Bronx,” which translates to “I’ll always be your Black girl from the Bronx.”
