As the Bajan singer finally took to the stage, she was dressed in another black flowing and sparkling outfit in the center of the stage.

With what appeared to be a full orchestra behind her, Rihanna angelically sang “Lift Me Up” in front of a packed room and millions at home watching.

Rih’s performance was so uplifting and heartwarming that she received a much-warranted standing ovation — not only by fellow Oscars-goers, but by the cast and crew of ‘Black Panther,’ — the movie the song was created for — and also a standing ovation by her boyfriend and father’s child, A$AP Rocky!

Now, Rih’s performance at the 95th Annual Academy Awards, followed her long-awaited return to the stage, which we received at this year’s Super Bowl, where she shut down the Halftime Show stage and made history, becoming the first performer to hit the stage pregnant.

Making note of the two big events and how Rihanna shut down both of the stages, one fan on Twitter wrote, “Someone correct me, but has someone ever headlined the Super Bowl and performed at the Oscars …..Rihanna [is the GOAT].”

Several other social media users took to Twitter, and more social platforms, to share their opinions and give their high praises for Rih and her angelic performance at the Oscars.
