Social media users reacted to a video circulating on Twitter where President Donald Trump is called “the First Black President” during a Black History Month White House roundtable.

According to the Hill, President Trump hosted a Black History Month round table at the White House with his supporters on Thursday. In attendance at the conference was Dr.Martin Luther King’s niece Alveda King, Diamond and Silk of Fox Nation, and former NFL player Jack Brewer. During the event, Brewer exclaimed that President Trump was “the First Black President”:

“Mr. President, I don’t mean to interrupt, but I’ve got to say this because it’s Black History Month: man, you are the first black president,”

Shortly afterward, Brewer’s comment was met with applause and claimed the President changed his life:

“You’ve changed me. You touched me. And you made my work go to another level. You inspire me. And every time I go into those prisons and I ask my guys how many of them had their sentences reduced and they raise their hands, I know I’m doing God’s work and I thank you for that,”

During a discussion with Don Lemon, CNN commentator Keith Boykin called Brewer an Uncle Tom for his statement:

“The idea that anybody would sit in a room with Donald Trump and call him ‘the first black president,’ after we had Barack Obama as the president of the United States, shows just what kind of Uncle Tom’s were sitting in that room in the first place,

Black Twitter didn’t take too kindly to Brewer’s comments either since 44th President Barack Hussein Obama is the first black president of the United States.
