Meghan Trainor is done playing nice with the peanut gallery. After dropping 60 pounds and stepping out looking strong and confident at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala, the Grammy-winning singer is firing back at folks who suddenly have a whole lot to say about her body.
The 31-year-old hitmaker’s slimmer silhouette sparked an online frenzy some fans showered her with love, while others acted brand-new, calling her “unrecognizable” or “too thin.” That whiplash hit especially hard considering she’s the same woman who gave us “All About That Bass,” the anthem that had everybody and their mama preaching self-love back in 2014.
And this isn’t the first time the commentary’s boiled over. When Trainor dropped a TikTok back in August cute, bubbly, very Meghan-core some users swarmed the comments section with, “I didn’t even recognize her..?” and even, “I thought this was Paris Hilton.” The internet always gonna internet.
But this time? Meghan’s not letting it slide.
In a new November 12 interview with Entertainment Tonight, the “Made You Look” singer opened up about how wild it’s been watching people flip her health journey into criticism.
“I’m literally for the first time ever, after having babies, taking care of my health to the highest level and I’ve never felt better and I look incredible. I feel great,” she said. “And that’s when people attack me?”
Sis was genuinely confused and low-key hurt that her finally prioritizing herself somehow became a problem for strangers online.
“I’m taking care of myself,” she added. “I have to find a way to not be affected by that.”
Trainor and her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, share two adorable boys, Riley, 4, and Barry, 2, and she’s been open about wanting to stay strong and energized for her family. She’s shared snapshots of her fitness grind all year long, keeping fans in the loop about her goals and new routines.
So now she’s healthier, happier, and feeling herself and she’s not letting unsolicited opinions dim that glow-up.
Moral of the story? Meghan’s living her best life. And if the internet can’t handle that? Well… they can go ahead and log off.
