2022 is just not Antonio Brown’s year. The former NFL player is making headlines once again… this time for a domestic violence incident.
According to Fox News 13, the ex-athlete has been accused of domestic violence involving his ex-fiancée. FOX 13’s sports reporter Kevin O’Donnell was told by a source that an arrest warrant has been issued for Brown for multiple domestic issues stemming from an incident on Monday. Tampa police have neither confirmed nor denied it at this point. He tweeted this Thursday, “Have confirmation that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Antonio Brown in Tampa for multiple domestic issues on November 28 with the mother of his children. Brown facing serious legal issues.”
So what happened? According to the police report, “The suspect exited the residence and threw a shoe at the victim striking her in the ponytail. The victim had no injuries but believed the shoe was meant for her head. The suspect would not open the door or come outside to speak with officers. The suspect also during this incident attempted to issue an informal eviction to the victim.” The police report also said in part, “The suspect placed an informal eviction notice on the door … with 11/28/2022 at the date showing the victim has 7 days to gather her belongings and leave. The suspect continued throughout the incident to state that the victim had no right to be at that residence or to even gain entry to it because she did not live there. The victim’s ID has the listed address as her residence as of 10/18/2022.” To make matters worse, during the ordeal, police said Brown locked himself in the house while officers tried to speak to him. Investigators added that Brown allegedly threatened to shoot her if she tried to enter the house.

Despite that, the officers said after “many failed attempts” to convince Brown to allow her to get her stuff from inside the home, they advised the victim to just spend the night elsewhere. However, police said he did allow the children to go back inside the house, but they were afraid to.
The news site adds that the following day,
Tampa police filed a risk protection order against Brown, which can be issued if a person poses a significant risk to themselves or others and has access to a gun, (which cops said they saw at the home) — but a judge denied the request.
Brown has not yet released a statement regarding this latest incident.
