After being chewed to pieces online for coming at Lizzo earlier in the week, Miss Roseanne Barr has found herself back in the hot seat over her latest comments about the Holocaust.

While speaking on the podcast “This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von” about online censorship, Barr, who is Jewish, brought up Holocaust denial. She was in the middle of suggesting that social media platforms manipulate the truth by banning select accounts when made the shocking comment.

“The election was not rigged. Thirty-six counties can give you 81 million votes. That’s a fact,” she said. “don’t you dare say anything against it or you’ll be off YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and all the other ones. There’s such a thing as the truth and fact and we have to stick to it.” She added, “That is the truth, and nobody died in the Holocaust either. That’s the truth. It should happen, 6  million Jews should die right now because they cause all the problems in the world but it never happened. Mandated,” she said.

Although she acknowledged that she’s “all Jewish 100 percent,” Barr also said that Jews started Hollywood and have since run it like “an organized crime network.” Fellow comedian Theo Von then chime in to ask her, “Was it weird when Hollywood went against you because you’re Jewish?” Von asked. Barr responded, “Well, Hollywood Jews don’t like Jews, let’s be real,” Barr explained, “I’m a Jew and I got fired from Jewish Hollywood.”

While people are trying to debate wether or not Barr was being sarcastic, many people didn’t find humor in her comment at all.

The head of the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, spoke out and said, “Sarcasm or not, Roseanne Barr’s comments about Jews and the Holocaust are reprehensible and irresponsible.” He added, “This isn’t funny. And shame on Theo Von for letting it go unchallenged and instead diving into conspiracy theories about Jews and Hollywood,” Greenblatt said.

As wild as her comments may have sound, she has made a number of controversial and racist Twitter posts, some promoting conspiracy theories in the past. In 2018, she tweeted about former Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, a Black woman, generating the most backlash: “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.”

Although she apologized, ABC canceled the show. However, the network later brought back a spinoff called “The Conners,” without Barr, but ultimately failed to gain traction.

Just recently, she caught some flak for coming at singer Lizzo, saying she needs to thank her for paving the way for curvy women in Hollywood. Although Lizzo did not respond to her, the singer’s fans were quick to do the dirty work for her.
