Imagine clocking into work, thinking it’s going to be a pretty smooth day then you get into a traumatizing encounter with a customer. That’s exactly what happened to one Chipotle worker in Washington DC.

Video captured the moment a man got violent all because his order wasn’t made fast enough. While speaking with Fox5 DC, the female employee said the man had placed an order for tacos. When the employee started making the food, the man tried to reach across the counter to grab it. The female worker told Fox 5 that the antsy man became violent after she caught him allegedly trying to snatch his tacos from behind the counter.

Furious that his tacos were not being made fast enough, he decided to go on a violent rampage, throwing ingredients, display items, and even registers at the employee preparing his food. “He tried to steal them, and he didn’t get away with it because I threw them in the trash. And then he just got mad after that,” said the worker, who did not want to be identified.

The man, dressed in a white shirt and black beanie with a green backpack, also threw plastic containers, and even register display and registers at the employee. Thankfully nobody was hurt in the incident. However, it has left the employee startled. She said no customer has done this at the Northwest D.C. Chipotle before. “A lot of crazy stuff happens at this Chipotle, but not that,” she said.

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Laurie Schalow told Fox Business Digital in an email on Friday, “We are aware of the unfortunate incident that occurred in one of our Washington, D.C. restaurants last month. The health and safety of our employees is our greatest priority, and we will continue working closely with authorities to ensure justice is served for individuals that do not treat our teams with the respect they deserve.”

Police are now reportedly offering a reward for up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and an indictment over the incident. The man was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, and black pants as well as a black hat, a green backpack, dark-colored pants, and a bracelet on his left wrist.
