Shocking Video Captures Moment Parked Range Rover Rolls Over & Kills LA Mom

A shocking video has been released showing the moment a Los Angeles mother died after rolling under her own Range Range after it experienced a parking malfunction.

The video which was obtained by CBS News, shows 41-year-old Shadi Farhat, who is a mother of two, exiting her 2017 Range Rover when the SUV begins to roll backwards, and pulling her underneath.

Farhat is able to get to her feet before collapsing again. She passed away days after the incident.
Her husband is currently suing Jaguar Land Rover for their “defective gear selector” which can indicate the car is in park when it is not.

“I lost the love of my life,” Michael Farhat said. “I love my best friend … Every day is a struggle. It’s a hole that’s never going to be filled inside you.”

Farhat reveals that his wife often complained about the confusing gear shift.

“She complained about it a lot,” he added. “‘I can’t tell when it’s in park, I can’t tell if it’s in reverse. I can’t tell if it’s in drive.’”

The car which runs around $90,000 has had many complaints in relation to other rollaway incidents stemming from its misleading gear shift.

“Drivers are confused and Land Rover knows that drivers are confused,” attorney Dylan Ruga said to CBS News. “And this unfortunately the inevitable result of what happens when people think the car is in park and it is not.”

Jaguar Land Rover has denied fault.
