Shia Labeouf Claims FKA Twigs Assault Was ‘Self Defense’
Shia LaBeouf is denying “each and every” claim of abuse made by his ex, FKA Twigs, and claiming self-defense.
In a report exclusively obtained by Page Six, LaBeouf, 34, vehemently denies that Twigs, 32, “sustained any injury or loss by reason of any act or omission” due to his actions.
This is a complete turnaround from his previous claims in the NY Times where he said he was responsible for “abusive to me and everyone around me for years.”

However, in the new court documents, LaBeouf’s lawyers said that Twigs has “not suffered any injury or damage as a result of Defendant’s actions,” and that the actions “reasonably necessary for his self-defense and/or safety.”
As we reported, Twigs accused the actor of abuse, choking her and giving her an STD, however, LaBeouf’s lawyers said that “none of the acts alleged were based on sex and/or the conduct was not sexual.”
In response, Bryan Freedman, Twigs’ lawyer sent a statement to Page Six, “Upon being confronted with Ms. Barnett’s lawsuit, Mr. LaBeouf admitted his reprehensible conduct and then checked himself into some type of inpatient treatment. To the extent his 5-week treatment has been focused on denials and gaslighting, he may want to revisit the type of help he is receiving. Mr. LaBeouf’s legal tact and recovery plan, while not surprising, are poorly misguided self-help strategies.”
