Shazam and Billy are back and this time it’s not just them with superpowers, it’s his siblings too in the new film Shazam Fury Of The Gods.

Hollywood Unlocked was on the carpet for the premiere of the new DC movie and got to talk with a lot of the cast about the sequel to their 2019 film which introduced the family.

One theme that sticks out in this film is that despite these kids having amazing superpowers, it’s all about family. Shazam is likely one of the first, if not the only superhero film to touch on the theme of foster care. In the first movie, we were introduced to not only Billy who we all know turned into Shazam played by Zachary Levi and Asher Angelbut his siblings as well who all have the unique ability to say the word and change from an ordinary kids to a superpowered adults.

Jack Dylan Grazer and Adam Brody as  Frederick “Freddy” Freeman, Grace Caroline Currey as  Mary Bromfield, Ross Butler and Ian Chen as Eugene Choi,  D. J. Cotrona and Jovan Armand as Pedro Peña, and the youngest in the bunch  Meagan Good and Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley.

In this film, we get to see topics discussed like the aging out of the fostercare system and the trials and tribulations that come with it. we talked with the cast about that as well as the diversity of a family that is not normally portrayed as superheroes.
