Shaquil Barrett’s wife, Jordanna Barrett, has found the strength to issue some heartfelt words after tragically losing their two-year-old daughter, Arrayah, over the weekend. As we previously reported, the toddler is believed to have fallen into the family’s swimming pool at their Florida home on Sunday morning, with police calling the tragedy a purely accidental and tragic incident.

Arrayah, who was the youngest of four children that the couple share, was rushed to a nearby hospital after paramedics tried to resuscitate her, but she was unfortunately pronounced dead shortly after her arrival. Now, in a statement from Jordanna herself, she shared with her followers that her life has been turned upside down following the devastating loss of her daughter, writing, “Thank you all for all the messages, flowers, thoughts and prayers.”
“Our world will never be the same. Arrayah was the apple of my eye, and my heart will forever be with hers. I love you so much my baby.” She continued, “I am so so sorry. Until we see each other again, please watch over your siblings and momma and dada. We love you forever and ever and always.” Shaquil, who plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hasn’t publicly spoken out about the tragedy, and understandably so. Let’s continue to keep our thoughts and prayers with the family during this difficult time of grieving.
Jordanna continued in her Instagram post, “I can’t wait to see that precious smile again, and just hug you so close.
“I would do absolutely anything. There is no Barrett 6 without you, and we will forever hold your place down here, until we all meet again in heaven. I love you forever and always.”
She continued, “Everybody knew that Arrayah had her daddy wrapped around her finger and was the sunshine in her mama’s eyes. There was something about that sweet and sassy voice that just made your heart sing. Arrayah’s energy was unmatched.
Jordanna and her husband have been supported by the latter’s team, including former Bucs quarterback Tom Brady, who paid tribute to the little girl by posting a photo of the family on his IG Story on Sunday. He captioned the snap, writing, “The Brady’s love you.”
Even the Buccaners released a statement following the news of Arrayah’s passing, saying that all member of the team were sending keeping Shaquil and his family in their prayers during what’s undoubtedly an excruciatingly difficult time for them right now.
“Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family,” Sunday’s statement read. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna, and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time,”
