Shaq is letting it be known that he won’t be commenting on Celtics coach Ime Udoka’s cheating scandal because he was once a “serial cheater.”

“I am going to step down from this conversation. I was a serial cheater. It would be crazy and blasphemous for me to get up here and say, ‘Boom, boom, bam.’ I can’t do that. I know these guys personally. I know they’re going through a lot because I went through a lot.

“I just wish that certain parties weren’t involved. I’ve known Nia Long for a long time and I like her…They’re going through a lot of family stuff. I’m never the guy that’s gonna get up here because of my platform and fake it.”

In the clip, Shaq is referring to his past infidelities during his marriage to Shaunie O’Neal, who recently remarried. Shaquille has been open about the mistakes he made as a husband, even going as far as to admit that he felt “lost” following his divorce to Shaunie.

Furthermore, two of the Boston Celtics star players recently spoke on the incident but didn’t want to comment too much. “If you read the statement and you watch the press conference, apparently there are a lot of things that they can’t speak about, so I think I’m kind of in the same boat,” said Tatum. “I don’t know, so it’s hard for me to answer if things were handled the right way or if they weren’t, because I don’t know all the details.”

“Not a lot of information has been shared, so there’s a lot of confusion going around, a lot of speculation going around, which makes it difficult on the guys who have been here and the guys who are here now,” said Tatum’s co-star, Jaylen Brown. “I guess what we do is do our jobs, and that’s what we’re here for.”

Both Tatum and Brown said they have not spoken to Udoka since the investigation concluded.

“It’s been hell for us,” added the veteran Smart. “Just caught by surprise. Nobody really knows anything, so we’re just in the wind like everybody else. The last couple days, as far as this, it’s been confusing.”
