Bernard Robinson, the father of Shanquella Robinson is speaking out on the mysterious and tragic death of his 25-year-old daughter.
As we previously reported, Robinson had traveled from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Mexico on October 28, with six friends to celebrate a birthday. Less than 24 hours later she was found dead. Initially, friend’s claimed Robinson died of alcohol poisoning. However, shocking footage emerged of Robinson — who was nearly naked at the time it was filmed — being brutally beaten by a woman believed to be her friend before her death. Her parents now want answers as they believe something more terrible happened to their daughter instead of “alcohol poising.”
In an emotional interview with TMZ, Bernard Robinson talked about the viral fight video. He said his sweet daughter was not “the fighting type.” He also said she would never get into any sort of physical altercation. He strongly believes the entire thing was part of a “setup.” He added that “her friends back home would never have let this happen.”

Mr. Robison also spoke with WSBTV and said all he has been doing is crying and trying to figure out what happened to his daughter.
“I can’t even be a grandfather, can’t even walk her down the aisle, she’s gone,” Bernard Robinson said.
Salamondra Robinson, the mother, also said “After they said it was alcohol poisoning, we received the autopsy report and it said that her neck had been broken and she had a back spasm there was a crack, the spinal cord was cracked,” Robinson’s mother, Salamondra Robinson, said. “That took it to a whole ‘nother level because that meant somebody had attacked her.”
Mexican officials’ homicide investigation as well as the FBI has opened an investigation into her death. In a statement to WBTV, the FBI said that they have “opened an investigation in the death of Charlotte resident, Shanquella Robinson in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on or about Oct. 29. Due to the ongoing investigation, we have no further comment.”
Salamondra Robinson said on Thursday’s that she is a little relieved to know there is an investigation to discover the truth about what happened.
“It feels good. My stomach doesn’t feel so empty. Feels like we are getting somewhere,” she said.
