Shannon Doherty Reveals She Has Stage 4 Cancer

Our favorite Charmed sister had some devastating news to share while appearing on ‘Good Morning America.’

Shannen Doherty appeared on the show and revealed that her cancer had returned and that it was now Stage 4.

“It’s going to come out in a matter of days or a week that — I’m stage four. So my cancer came back. And that’s why I’m here, she said. I don’t think I’ve processed it. It’s a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways.”

She was previously diagnosed in 2015, and the popular “90210” and “Charmed” star was very open about her diagnosis. However when cancer returned years later, she still got on set and worked with her 90210 cast for a reboot, but, didn’t want to tell the world because she wanted to continue with her normal day-to-day life.

“I definitely have days where I say why me. And then I go, well, why not me? Who else? Who else besides me deserves this? None of us do,” she said. “But I would say that my first reaction is always concern about how — how am I going to tell my mom, my husband.”

She also adds that her diagnosis was around the same time as fellow co-star, Luke Perry’s passing,

“It’s so weird for me to be diagnosed and then somebody who was, you know, seemingly healthy to go first,” said Doherty. “It was really, like, shocking. And the least I could do to honor him was to do that show. I still haven’t done it, in my opinion. So it’s a hard one.”
