Selena Gomez has hopped onto TikTok Live saying she’s taking a break from social media — and though she didn’t point out any particular reasons, fans seem to believe it has something to do with the whole Kylie Jenner/ Hailey Bieber drama last night. As we previously reported, Jenner came forward and dispelled claims she was shading Gomez after the Disney alum took to the social platform saying she had “accidentally laminated my eyebrows too much.”

Fans were quick to speculate whether Jenner was being shady when she posted a photo of her eyebrows on her Stories, along with the caption, “this was an accident???” She also shared a screenshot with Hailey Bieber on what seems to be a FaceTime call — here again, however, Jenner seemingly tried to make another eyebrow joke with a close-up shot of the brows. The reality star has already denied the claims on TikTok, insisting that the rumor was “reaching” and that there would be “no shade towards Selena ever.”

Then, fans noticed Gomez allegedly began liking videos that as branded Kylie as one of the “mean girls.” The message, which she liked, read, “mean girls coming at [Selena’s] f***ing throat” and the “disgusting, despicable behavior from the nepo babies. I hate mean girls, just come out of the closet Kylie, we get it, you’re struggling.” In response to the comment, Gomez wrote, “I love you.”

Gomez had also reacted to a video she came across on TikTok showing Justin Bieber’s wife co-hosting a 2017 show titled “Drop the Mic,” alongside Method Man. When the rapper noted that the battle would be “full of the meanest lyrics about a celebrity since Taylor Swift’s last album,” Bieber gags at the singer’s name being mentioned as she rolls her eyes.

Gomez had a message for that video too, writing, “So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.”

She then told one fan how her message made her cry when they wrote that they felt bad for Gomez for how she was treated by the Biebs after the ex-couple decided to call it quits for the final time, prompting the “Yummy” pop star to pop the question to his now-wife, whom he has been married to since 2018.

“Does anybody just ever feel really bad for Selena Gomez? Like, can you imagine going through a breakup so publicly with a guy that you were in love with for seven years, and then two months later he just marries someone?” the fan wrote.

“That made me cry. Thank you!” Gomez responded.
