Second Stimulus Check: Donald Trump Says ‘Very Generous’ Payments Could Be Announced Soon

During a Monday interview, President Donald Trump said there will be a second round of stimulus payments to Americans.

While briefly speaking with a correspondent, Trump said “We will be doing another stimulus package.” Although he offered few details, he did say “It will be very good. It’ll be very generous.” Trump asked how much the payment might be this time around, but he kept his response short and said, “You’ll find out about it. You’ll find out.” Trump added that he thought the relief funds would receive a bipartisan report and could be announced “over the next couple of weeks, Fox4C reports.

Meanwhile, a White House official told NBC News that no decisions had been made just yet. However, a second stimulus payments is “part of something the economic team is studying.”

Taxpayers were previously given a one-time sum of $1,200 as part of the $2trillion stimulus earlier this year, but for many who have been made unemployed or had salary cuts, it has not stretched very far, which is why a second round is expected to come.
