Second Round Of Stimulus Checks May Take Up To 20 Weeks For Some To Receive
While more than 80 million people have already received direct deposits up to $1,200 from the first round, it’s being reported that the second wave of stimulus checks, for some, may take up to 20 weeks to make it to them.
As the second batch is set to begin hitting accounts next week, the New York Post reports that retirees, veterans and pensioners, among others expecting paper checks, will likely have to sit tight for up to 20 weeks before seeing funds.

Furthermore, the next wave of funding, which is a part of the government’s $2.2 trillion stimulus package — enacted amid the coronavirus pandemic, is set to go out on a weekly basis to residents who’ve recently provided their information to the IRS, and who’ve not been paid already.
Additionally, for those 100 million Americans who’ve yet to file tax returns in the last few years, which mostly included pensioners, retirees, veterans and more, may have to wait up to five months for paper checks from the IRS.
