Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff has tested positive for the coronavirus, the White House announced Tuesday.

Harris’ spokesperson Sabrina Singh confirmed the news in a statement and said Vice President Kamala Harris tested negative for the virus but will not participate in any further events due to her husband’s results. The couple was expected to attend a scheduled Equal Pay Day event later this evening with President Joe Biden. Emhoff hosted an outdoor gardening event before learning about his diagnosis.
“Earlier today, the second gentleman tested positive for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, the vice president will not participate in tonight’s event. The vice president tested negative for COVID-19 today and will continue to test.

According to CBS News, Harris attended a bill signing event with President Biden but it is unclear if she’ll quarantine based on her husband’s diagnosis. President Biden was previously tested on Sunday and, tested negative.
