Search Warrant Issued For Alec Baldwin’s Cell Phone In ‘Rust’ Investigation

The sheriff’s department has issued a warrant to search Baldwin’s phone for any evidence pertaining to the death of Halyna Hutchins. 

“Affiant is requesting a warrant for the seizure and search of Alec Baldwins’ cell phone to search for any evidence relating to the death investigation of Halyna Hutchins,” the affidavit reads.

“Affiant believes there may be evidence on the phone, due to individuals using cellular phones during and/or after the commission of crime(s). Such information, if it exists, may be  material  and relevant to this investigation.”

As we previously reported Alec Baldwin had a tb interview where he stated he felt responsible he would’ve killed himself. 

The actor shared, “I can’t imagine doing a movie that has a gun in it ever again, I can’t.” 

Baldwin doesn’t hold himself responsible for the death of Hutchins, but does believe someone is responsible.

“Someone is responsible for what happened,” Baldwin said. “It’s not me.”

“Honest to God, if I felt that I was responsible, I might have killed myself,” he said. “If I thought I was responsible, and I don’t say that lightly.”
