Say What? Roseanne Barr Wants Lizzo ‘Thank’ Her For ‘Paving The Way’ For Curvy Women in Hollywood

There are a lot of beautiful curvy women who have been killing the game for over a decade and have continued to encourage others to embrace their bodies. However, actress Roseanne Barr who seemingly falls along those lines wants to get her respect for “paving the way” for curvy women in Hollywood…

In an Instagram post, the “Roseanne” alum shared a throwback pic of her Vanity Fair cover from February 1994. In the old snap, she’s seen rocking black lingerie while sitting in a chair and holding a cut lemon. Instead of using the moment to embrace herself, she actually dedicated her interesting post to calling out Lizzo.

“When is @lizzobeeating going to thank me for paving the way,” she said in her caption. Now, some people did agree with her under the comment section of her post, with some stating she was one of a small few of stars to display a curvier figure in the media. One fan said “You paved the way for SO MANY on so many levels! You don’t nearly get the credit you’re [sic] deserve!” Another wrote, “You paved the way not only for big girls but for women in comedy, women in power, etc. ICON! 🙌,” While some may agree, others didn’t feel like it was necessary for her to single out Lizzo. “Why do you need [to be] thanked? You either wanted to do it or not. Be grateful. I love ya but this obsession with Lizzo thanking you is BS. Thank you, Roseanne. Hopefully, that helps!!!” One person noted. “@lizzobeeating does not owe you anything! I like both of you but you’re reaching! She’s a singer, you’re not,” another said.

Lizzo has not responded to Miss Bar and that’s probably because she’s trying to protect her peace.

As we previously reported, Lizzo vented to her fans online last month after she felt defeated by trolls who continue to talk about her weight.

On Wednesday (May 31), Lizzo shared a screenshot of a mean tweet — in which a user shared a video of the Grammy winner dancing onstage and mocked her for being fat — and wrote, “I JUST logged on and the app and this is the type of s–t I see about me on a daily basis.”

“It’s really starting to make me hate the world,” the musician continued. “Then someone in the comments said I eat ‘lots of fast food.’ I LITERALLY STOPPED EATING FAST FOOD YEARS AGO… I’m tired of explaining myself all the time and I just wanna get on this app w/out seeing my name in some bulls–t.”

She added, “The Love definitely do not outweigh the Hate on social media… all because I’m fat????” and “Y’all don’t know how close I be to giving up on everyone and quitting and enjoying my money and my man on a F–KING FARM…”

Of course, her fans were quick to defend her but ultimately Lizzo just wants all the unnecessary body-shaming and hate to stop.
