Salt Lake City Man Who Used Bow And Arrow On Protestors Charged With 3 Felonies
Last Saturday, a Salt Lake City, Utah man went viral after videos showed him badly beaten after he wielded a knife and drew a bow and arrow at a crowd of protestors. Authorities now confirm he’s been arrested and charged with three felonies as of Thursday night (June 4).
After spending two decades of his life in a California prison for battery against a public safety officer, the man, identified as 57-year-old Brandon McCormick of Taylorsville, is back in jail facing up to five years each for three felonies, stemming from his reckless actions at last weekend’s protests.
In addition to his three felony charges — two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person and one count of aggravated assault — McCormick was also hit with a misdemeanor count of threatening or using a weapon in a fight or a quarrel, which carries up to a year in jail. He is currently being held at the Salt Lake County jail with bail set a t $100,000.
