Plastic surgery should be safe, and positive and help you achieve and attain your appearance goals. Too many times we hear stories of the contrary, and most of the time it is because patients are not doing enough research into their surgeon of choice.
In California, Dr. Brian Hwang a board-certified Plastic Surgeon, Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and specialist in Aesthetic Surgery of the buttocks, body, and breast, makes the entire process easier. From top-notch, around-the-clock communication, to patient care, it is quality over quantity.
Dr. Hwang attended Lehigh University for his undergraduate degree, on a music scholarship for violin. It was there that he first realized he can meld both of his passions in art and science, and he would discover much later that the symbiosis of science and artistry would continue to be the driving force for his interest in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery to this day. After moving to Chicago to attend Chicago Medical School, Dr. Hwang then completed a full 7-year residency in General Surgery at New York Presbyterian, which included dedicated research in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Southern California. This time in research led to multiple publications and presentations at national meetings. He then achieved admission into a 3-year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship program at the prestigious Duke University Medical Center, which has consistently been ranked as one of the top 10 medical centers in the nation. He was privileged to be trained by world-renowned leaders in plastic surgery and work alongside top-notch colleagues. After serving as the Chief Resident, his keen attention to detail and passion for aesthetic surgery led him to further expand his skills with top Los Angeles aesthetic surgeons in Beverly Hills, where he completed an additional fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery.
The philosophy of Dr. Brian Hwang’s approach is centered around each patient. He believes that understanding each patient’s desires, lifestyle, and expectations for surgery is absolutely crucial in devising the most optimal surgical plan bespoke to each patient. Communication is at the crux of each and every interaction, and Dr. Hwang’s calm and humble Californian demeanor naturally assists in fostering that. His hope is not only for each patient to recover seamlessly from surgery, but also to walk away living more fulfilling lives. In his spare time, Dr. Hwang enjoys spending time with his wife Dr. Marlene Kalouyan, who is an OB/GYN, and their daughter.
