Two Russian troops were killed and several are injured after consuming poisoned food and alcohol by Ukrainian civilians.

Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence said in a statement that the incident took place in the Kharkiv Region and the soldiers were from the 3rd Russian motor rifle division. Two troops were killed and 28 were placed in intensive care after eating poisoned cakes in the city of Izium as reported by Insider. Additionally, 500 Russian troops were hospitalized due to severe alcohol poisoning.

About 500 more soldiers of the 3 motostrils division of the Russian Federation are in hospitals due to heavy alcohol poisoning of unknown origin. Russian command writes off these cases on the so-called “not combat losses,” the post reads.
The outlet also reported that the region has been hit the most since the beginning of the Russian invasion on February 24.
