“We spoke with Russell Wilson today to inform him of his release after the start of the league year,” the statement reads. “On behalf of the Broncos, we thank Russell for his contributions and dedication to our team while wishing him the best as he continues his career.” Wilson released a corresponding statement thanking the Broncos for the opportunity.

“Over these last two years. You have welcomed my family and me with open arms and have embraced us as members of the Denver community. This city will always hold special place in my heart. Our family grew here. We made countless memories and friendships, and formed relationships that will last a lifetime.”

After thanking his teammates and coaches, towards the end of his statement Russell went on to thank Pastor Ray Jackson. “Thanks for your countless prayers. Daily. To give God praise daily and getting on the floor to thank Jesus for breath in the good times and the bad times. HE always gets the glory. Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. God’s got me. I am excited for what’s next.”

After spending nine successful seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson shocked the NFL world by requesting a trade to the Denver Broncos. The Pro Bowl quarterback has been one of the most consistent and talented players in the league since he was drafted in 2012, leading the Seahawks to multiple playoff appearances and a Super Bowl victory in 2014.

One of Wilson’s biggest strengths is his ability to extend plays with his mobility and creativity. Known for his elusive scrambling and pinpoint accuracy on the run, Wilson has a knack for making something out of nothing when the pocket collapses. This skill set will undoubtedly be a game-changer for the Broncos, who have struggled to find consistency at the quarterback position in recent years.

In addition to his on-field talents, Wilson attempted to bring a winning mentality and leadership to the Broncos. He is known for his work ethic, dedication, and passion for the game, all of which have endeared him to teammates and fans alike. His presence in the locker room will undoubtedly elevate the team’s morale and inspire his fellow players to perform at their best.
