Angela Levin made the statement on the morning show “Lorraine” and said she wrote the book to clear the air about King Charles III’s wife. “I decided I had to rebalance things. One was ‘The Crown’ which was really cruel to her, and the other was Prince Harry, who had said some really nasty things about her too,” she explained. Levin didn’t specify what Harry’s statements were but stated it was known that Harry is not a big fan of Camilla. Additionally, season five of “The Crown” will discuss Camille and Charles’ affair during his marriage to Princess Diana.

Levin also spent three months with Camilla in 2015 after the Queen Consort invited her to prove she had a close relationship with Queen Elizabeth II. “I got the call to meet the Duchess and of course, I dropped everything, she explained. The Queen was also present during the visit and gave a tour of the palace’s horse stables.

“They took me to the stables where an 80-year-old horse expert was. He was supposedly meant to have the ability to make a horse that has never been ridden before ridable after 20 minutes without a saddle or anything, which I thought was not on but there you go. I thought after this was so clever and such a kind thing to do,” she said. “She didn’t have to say anything inappropriate as there were rumors they didn’t get on. Without saying a word Camilla showed me that her and the Queen shared a close bond — which was obvious through their shared love of horses.”

Levin also mentioned Camilla’s charitable efforts and said she was an ideal fit for Charles based on their similar interests and personality.

“Camilla doesn’t light to be in the spotlight. She’s right in the middle which is ideal for Charles because he won’t get jealous like with his first wife, but who does a tremendous amount of work behind the curtain – she doesn’t need praise for herself.”

Public opinion over Camilla has not been favorable throughout the years

King Charles III and queen consort Camilla started dating secretly in 1986 while he was still married to Princess Diana of Wales. This caused tensions among the married couple, which led to a point where Diana confronted Camilla at a party in 1989. In 1996, Diana and Charles finalized their divorce.

Camilla and Charles started dating publically in 1999, two years after the death of Princess Diana. Their engagement was announced in 2005, 35 years after meeting each other. Camilla is later named the Duchess of Cornwall. Throughout the years, Camilla is not a public favorite since she is allegedly the cause of Diana and Charles failed relationship.
