Rose McGowan Blasts New York Times For ‘Hiding Explosive Story’ Of African American Male Victim Of Harvey Weinstein

Actress Rose McGowan, who most notably has called out since-disgraced and convicted movie mogul Harvey Weinstein for sexual assault as part of the MeTooMovement, is now speaking up for another victim — an African American male, whose “explosive story,” she claims, is being hidden by The New York Times and the New Yorker.

Slamming both publications, McGowan wrote on Twitter, “Why are you @nytimes & @ NewYorker hiding this explosive story? A different kind of Weinstein victim has come forward. Is it because he’s a young, African American male that you are ignoring him?”

Along with her caption, McGowan included three posts: one a screenshot of a Notes page, a screenshot of additional coverage of the male victim, and a court document showing Rovier Carrington vs. Harvey Weinstein and company regarding sexual assault of a minor, sexual assault of an adult, sexual harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, deprivation of civil rights, conspiracy to violate civil rights, and more. Currently, Weinstein is serving a 23-year prison sentence for rape in the third degree, sexual assault, and more.
