The lawsuit alleges that Damon Dash is trying to profit off of “Reasonable Doubt” as a non-fungible token and sell it to the higher bidder for an auction. However, the record label claims Dash does not own the rights to the album and he cannot sell it for personal gain. Attorney Alex Spiro filed the lawsuit on behalf of the label after receiving word that Dash was planning to sell the NFT at a now-canceled auction but they are worried that he’ll find another platform to host an auction as per TMZ.

Court documents state that Dash is “frantically scouting for another venue to make the sale” and he is trying to earn some financial gain due to the NFT hype.

They are asking for the court to prevent Dash from following up with the NFT auction and for him to turn over any “Reasonable Doubt” NFTs that he may have processed.
