Comedian Rip Michaels has revealed that he’s lost his marriage. While speaking with Angela Yee on her radio show ‘Way Up With Angela Yee’ the comedian spoke on how his wife left him while he was hospitalized.
As we previously reported, “Wild ‘n Out” was forced to cancel a comedy show taping after he suffered a heart attack. At the time, the 41-year-old comedian took to his Instagram to apologize to ticket holders from a hospital bed in the critical care unit. “I just wanted to let you know that I will not be making it to do the Apollo show. I’m in the hospital, and I’m going to be postponing for a later date,” he said. In the caption, Micheals added, “My heart since the attack is only functioning at 17 percent & i am currently in CCU with good ppl in heart failure team!”
Now in his latest interview with Yee, Michaels spoke on some of the things he experienced while he was hospitalized. “My wife left me when I was in the hospital,” the comedian shared. “I guess when they say till death do us part, she’s a go-getter she doesn’t like to procrastinate so she was out. Michael’s also shared that they were married for two years and explained how the situation opened up his eyes. “It lets you know that certain people can’t handle things and certain people are only supposed to be with you for certain parts of your life and I realized that.”
