In a recent interview posted on Instagram by Refinery29, Rihanna candidly discussed a lesser-known aspect of postpartum experiences.

During the Fenty Hair launch party, the 36-year-old singer opened up to the media outlet about the unexpected issue of hair loss that she encountered after becoming a mother, emphasizing that it was not something she had anticipated when signing up for the journey of motherhood.

Rihanna, who is a mother to sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 10 months, with partner A$AP Rocky, expressed her surprise at the way hair loss occurred in waves rather than all at once. She admitted to having patches of hair fall out in various areas on her head, stating, “enough is enough.”

Turning the hair loss experience into a positive, Rihanna saw it as a chance to experiment with her style. She mentioned, “I learned to embrace that in itself. That just actually made me get a little more creative and clever with my hair stuff.”

Fans of the singer can look forward to the official launch of Rihanna’s Fenty Hair brand on the company’s website on June 13. However, eager fans were granted the chance to sign up for exclusive early access on June 10.

The Fenty Hair collection offers a range of nine essential hair care and styling products, comprising a shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, treatment product, four styling products, and an edge-styling tool. Central to the line is the core ingredient “Replenicore-5,” a proprietary complex that Fenty Hair claims has been clinically tested to repair, strengthen, hydrate, smooth, and protect hair.

In her caption, she wrote, “@fentyhair is pulling up and it’s time to finally have the hair experience you’ve been waiting for.”

“You know how much switching my hair up matters to me,” the post’s caption read. “I’ve had almost every texture, color, length, from weaves to braids to natural- so I am launching a flexible line of products for not only every hair want, but every single product is designed to strengthen and repair all types of hair, which is what we truly need!”
