Revival Of “The Game” Officially Moving Forward At Paramount+

According to Variety, Paramount+ has officially picked up a revival of “The Game” starring original cast members Wendy Raquel Robinson and Hosea Chanchez, the streamer announced Thursday.

The half-hour series has been given a 10-episode order at the streamer. It was said that Robinson will reprise the role of sports agent Tasha Mack, while Chanchez will once again play popular football player Malik Wright. Several other original cast members will appear in the series as well. The outlet noted that the revival will also relocate from San Diego to Las Vegas.
“Fifteen years ago I created ‘The Game’ and am so proud of the success we had, and that I was able to create characters and stories that resonated with so many people,” said Mara Brock Akil, original series creator Mara Brock Akil who executive produce along with Salim Akil via Akil Productions, Kelsey Grammer, and Tom Russo of Grammnet NH Productions. “I couldn’t be happier about leaving my beloved characters like Tasha Mack and Malik Wright in the hands of Devon, Wendy, and Hosea, who I know will build off of the rich foundation the show has.”
