According to several reports, the U.S. military has reportedly begun briefing troops about possible Iranian counterstrikes on US bases in the Middle East and possible terrorist attacks in America after President Donald Trump ordered air strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, it’s “crown jewel” in the country’s nuclear program.
Meanwhile, reports are surfacing claiming U.S. military officials have begun briefing troops about Iranian counterstrikes. While taking to X after obtaining a briefing, journalist Ken Klippenstein wrote:
“US military now briefing troops that its strike on Iran “will likely result in counterstrikes on US bases and facilities” in the Middle East, and “likely activate Iran and other foreign terrorist organizations cells abroad including the US to conduct strikes against US persons and facilities.”

Ray Takeyh, a Senior Fellow for Middle East Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, described Trump’s actions as problematic. Stating, “It’s a new phase, and a potentially problematic one.” Takeyh added that Iranian political leaders are now facing pressure from within the country to respond to Trump’s attacks.
Subsequently, the United State may face possible counterattacks on American military sites or proxies in the Middle East. Takeyh said:
“They were very humiliated in every possible way, and that makes them vulnerable to their population and to domestic critics. They would have to essentially restore pride in some way.”

As we previously shared, on Saturday (June 21), Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform and told his followers:
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
When Trump later addressed the nation from the White House, he in part stated:
“The strikes were a spectacular nuclear success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace … If they do not, future attacks will be far greater, and a lot easier. For forty years, Iran has been saying, ‘Death to America,’ death to Israel.”
