Regina King is starring in a biopic that has been in development for over a decade, portraying Shirley Chisholm, the pioneering first Black U.S. congresswoman. Initially attached to the project in 2012, King dedicated over ten years to getting the film approved, and her persistence is now paying off as her long-awaited vision comes to fruition. Recently, Netflix revealed the first glimpse of King dressed in ’70s attire as she embodies the iconic political figure. As King always does excel in what she brings to the screen, the first look will not disappoint!
