Denise Richards Lays It All Out: Alleges Abuse, Judge Grants Restraining Order
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Denise Richards is taking a major step to protect herself. The actress was officially granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, after accusing him of repeated physical and emotional abuse.
According to court documents filed Wednesday, Denise didn’t hold back. She detailed several alleged violent incidents, including moments where she claims Phypers not only put hands on her, but threatened to take her life — and his — if she ever went to the cops.
“Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack,” she wrote in the documents, according to new outlet TMZ.
Backing up her claims, the 54-year-old reality star shared a photo of her bruised eye, reportedly taken after one of those incidents back in 2022.
Denise Says Aaron Thought Plants Were Bugged, Then Punched Her
One of the more disturbing claims? Denise says Aaron attacked her at his Malibu workplace after becoming paranoid that the plants he bought were bugged with listening devices. She says that out of nowhere, he snapped and punched her in the eye, all while screaming, “You f–king b—h.”
In another incident, Denise says things escalated again after she told him he didn’t need to tag along on a work trip. She wrote:
“Aaron grabbed me by the back of my head by my hair and slammed me into the ground and screamed, ‘You are not cancelling my flight, I am going with you and I do not trust you.’”
This pattern of alleged violence and control is exactly what led her to file for the restraining order, which was officially granted.
As of now, Aaron Phypers is legally required to stay at least 100 yards away from Denise and her property.
Where Things Stand Now: Divorce and Upcoming Court Date
Phypers — who recently filed for divorce after six years of marriage — has not yet responded to Denise’s allegations. No public statement, no rebuttal, no denial. Just silence.
Meanwhile, the court has set the couple’s next restraining order hearing for August 8.
