According to MSN, Paul Ng confronted Dre Abram and his roommate while they were filming a podcast for Abram’s YouTube channel in Old Town Scottsdale. Ng said to the two Black men that he wanted to see what they were taking pictures of since he was a local real estate agent but Abram tells him it’s not his business. Seconds after, Ng tells the pair that there have been several issues in the neighborhood but Abram says “I don’t care,” Abram says. “You don’t know me. Why are you taking pictures of me? And I don’t know you. Do you know a lot of white men are doing racist things in this world, sir?”
The 74-year-old real estate agent then says “No, I’m a racist…this is a no N-word zone.” Ng was later arrested for disorderly conduct and told police during an interview that he likes to keep a lookout for “suspicious individuals” in his neighborhood.

The police report states Ng noticed the two men standing next to a car with Michigan license plates and said there were a few people out in the neighborhood at that time. He also stated Abram didn’t want his photo to be taken but Abram told police that he recently moved to Scottsdale from Michigan.
Upon seeing the video, a statement was released by Ng’s employer confirming he was no longer working with the company.
“Upon learning of this video we took immediate action in severing his license, terminating his involvement with us effective immediately and condemning his disgusting behavior,” the statement read. “Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty does not, and will not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind. Period. Never has. Never will.”
