Singer, rapper and serial entrepreneur Ray J celebrated and praised Kodak Black for his birthday this year, and recalled their meeting with Donald Trump and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, who called Yak, “a terrific guy.”
As a refresher, back in March 2022, Ray J and Kodak attended an event at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. This followed Trump’s pardoning of Kodak.
At the dinner at Mar-a-Lago, Ray and Kodak met Trump, Giuliani and the former New York Police Department Commissioner Bernard Kerik.
At the time, Ray told Page Six, “It was the right thing to do. Trump pardoned him.”
Ray’s manager, David Weintraub said, “Ray has always been someone who enjoys connecting talented minds together. And this is just another example of his goodwill.”

Kodak Black Gets Pardoned By Donald Trump
If you recall, before leaving office, former President Donald Trump pardoned Kodak in January 2021. Kodak was also joined by Lil Wayne and over 140 others in a last-minute pardon and commutation spree performed by Trump.
At the time of his commutation, Kodak was incarcerated and serving a 46 month sentence for falsifying federal forms to buy firearms.
Kodak and Wayne previously showed their gratitude to the former President, and Yak did so again back in March when Ray J introduced the two.
Since’s Kodak’s commutation, the rapper has been a big advocate of Trump. He even told the hosts of the Full Send Podcast that “Getting rid of Trump is the worst thing America could’ve did.” He also said that he is now “forever indebted” to the former President.

Ray J Praises Kodak Black For His Birthday & Recalls Yak Meeting Donald Trump & Rudy Giuliani
Now fast forward to June. Taking to his Instagram to celebrate and praise Kodak for his birthday, Ray J said:
“Happy Bday @ kodakblack – People need to know how much you do for the community and all the people who helped along the way.
It was important to me to introduce Kodak to the former Police Commissioner of New York and the 45 President. They are the guys who pardoned Kodak and granted clemency for him.
President Trump received more than 8,000 petitions for clemency—either pardon or commutation—yet he has granted only 35. –
Big thanks to Kareem , Pastor Scott and Vernon Jones. Now Kodak can use his influence to help more people by using his voice and power to push the correct agenda that helps our community.
