Raven-Symoné Reacts To Diddy’s Apology: “I Think He’s Distraught Because His Money Is About To Deplete… He’s Sorry That He Got Caught!”

Recently, Sean “Diddy” Combs issued a public apology for his past actions towards his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. As we previously reported, the incident, which took place in 2016, surfaced through a security video released by CNN. In response to Diddy’s apology, many people are weighing in and sharing their reactions with the latest being Raven-Symoné.

During a recent episode of her podcast with wife Miranda Maday, the actress highlighted the possible underlying reasons behind the business mogul’s remorse, suggesting that he may be feeling distraught because his financial resources are about to deplete. She further speculated that Diddy might be sorry not only for his actions but also for getting caught.

“There’s always been rumors in the industry about his shenanigans and it’s always been kind of ‘hush-hush,’ put underneath the rug, and now things and windows are starting to open and people are starting to see in.” She continued, “His apology video… I think he’s distraught because he knows that his money is about to deplete. I think he’s apologetic… I think he’s sorry that he got caught.”

Raven went on to share the one-way Diddy could start to make things right: “ima need Diddy to give her all the rights” to her music.

The Apology:

Diddy’s video apology expressed remorse for his actions, acknowledging that what he did was “inexcusable.” Although he didn’t mention Cassie’s name, he admitted that he was disgusted with himself then and now for how he treated her.

“My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” he said in a video statement posted on Instagram. He continued, “I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now,” he added. “I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”

The 2016 incident matched the allegations Cassie made in a November 2023 lawsuit that was settled the next day.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said they will not charge Diddy for the crime due to the statute of limitations.
