Actress Raven-Symoné is opening up about some plastic surgery procedures she underwent, all before turning 18! The ‘That’s So Raven‘ star revealed she got liposuction and a couple breast reductions when she was still a minor, and that after her first reduction she had a seizure!
Symoné, who said she basically had “triple Ds,” made the revelation on Sunday’s (August 6) episode of her and wife Miranda Pearman-Maday‘s podcast, ‘The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda.’ On the episode, Symoné said she “always thinks about plastic surgery.”
Then she opened up about how she shares a plastic surgeon with Kelly Osbourne‘s mom, Sharon Osbourne. She then revealed her long-kept secret and said, “I had two breast reductions and liposuction before I turned 18. I’ve never said it or shared it.”

Maday, who already knew her wife’s secret, pretended to act surprised about her being a minor during the procedures. Symoné confirmed she indeed went under the knife before turning 18. She noted,, “There was paperwork involved. My dad suggested, strongly, that I should get my breasts reduced. He was like, ‘So you don’t feel bad, is there anything you want?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, if I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?’ So, I got a twofer. It was just a mess, just being that young and the pain of it all.”
Symoné went on to reveal that the recovery was really painful and she just “disassociated.” Recalling how things went after her first breast reduction, she explained, “The recovery was a little painful. I have scars. I still have scar tissue ’til this day. I actually gained weight after, and I had to go back [to get] a little bit more out, because they were still too big … for others’ feelings. And that was [the second procedure].”

Symoné then revealed that she had another procedure, aside from her liposuction and double breast reductions, but did not reveal what it was. Again recalling her breast reduction procedures before turning 18, she made a scary reveal.
She explained,, “The first one I had, I actually had a seizure when I woke up from the surgery. I remember waking up and seeing everything, and then I just started to have this dry mouth and couldn’t breath. And then I went back under and they were like, ‘Oh yeah, you had a seizure.’ I’m like, ‘Thanks for telling me.'”
The actress said it wasn’t really understood why she had a brief medical emergency, but chucked it up to being an isolated incident. However, she does admit the feeling in that moment and looking back is scary. She explained, “Just knowing that the reason I opened my eyes and couldn’t swallow or breathe was because I was having a seizure, and remembering that moment, but not remembering the seizure, still freaks me out a little bit.”
