Rapper Yung Baby Tate Reveals Rihanna DM’d Her After Being Body-shammed Online: “I’m Really Crying Y’all”
Earlier this week, rapper Yung Baby Tate shared a picture of herself on Instagram. It showed the star rocking a leopard print bodysuit with the mid-piece cut out. She captioned the post: “As Queen Bey once said, ‘wanna see some REAL A$$?! Baby here’s your chance!’ Shoutout to all my natural bellied bodies. I see you, I am you, I love you. No matter WHAT my body looks like, it is MINE and I love it! Please go project your insecurities onto a piece of paper, burn it, and throw it away. Then go look in the mirror and tell yourself how much you are loved. 💖”
While many people praised her for her sweet post, others were quick to body shame her online. Lil Baby’s baby mother Ayesha Howard even weighed in on Tate’s pic and said her natural body lacked “discipline, structure” because of “poor eating habits.” Ayesha later defended her comment by saying that she was only trying to encourage a healthy lifestyle, but then ended her response by saying, “I’m sorry y’all let’s go to McDonald’s.”
Of course, Tate responded with a video message to Ayesha, seemingly throwing shade back at “a girl with t1ttee implants” that “talk sh1t about my natural body.” While Baby Tate didn’t further entertain the negative comments, she did reveal that Rihanna sent her direct message following all the online criticism. Now, she didn’t share exactly what Rihanna said, but the singer who has her body-positive lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty, may have something lined up for the new artist.
Tate added in another tweet, “Rihanna is one of my biggest LIFE inspirations like I did a fkn PowerPoint project on this woman in 8th grade man I can’t believe the words she just shared with me. #RichGutGang 4L.”
