Rapper Biz Markie has reportedly been hospitalized for weeks due to a serious condition but his rep confirmed its not coronavirus.

According to TMZ, the rapper was hospitalized due to complications from Type II Diabetes and is currently in Maryland. However, his rep says he is receiving the best care and the people within his circle are remaining positive. They said, “He is receiving the best care from an amazing team of medical professionals and we remain positive about the outcome.”

Additionally, the rapper has been outspoken about his diagnosis and said he’s trying to stay healthy. TMZ noted in 2014 that he went from 385 lbs to 244 lbs and didn’t want to undergo surgery as a quick solution.
