Just days after R. Kelly prosecutors pushed for him to serve 25 years in prison for his New York City sex crimes case, an R. Kelly survivor is urging for him to be put “under the jail forever,” claiming “25 years is too low” and that he’ll “continue preying upon women and men.”

R. Kelly Prosecutors Push For 25 Years In Prison For NYC Sex Crimes Case
As mentioned, last Wednesday (June 8), prosecutors filed a memo in advance of Kelly’s sentencing later this month on June 29. In it, they said the 55 year old “I Believe I Can Fly” singer deserves at least 25 years behind bars for sexually abusing women and young girls.
Previously, we reported that a New York City jury found Kelly guilty of racketeering, along with several other counts during his sex trafficking trial last year. The prosecution also claimed that members of Kelly’s entourage, managers, aides and others who all helped Kelly meet and groom girls, also amounted to a criminal enterprise.
In addition to the several documentaries on the allegations against R. Kelly, including testimonies from his survivors, we learned more about the claims in court as several accusers testified in vivid detail of their alleged sadistic history of abuse.
The prosecutors claimed Kelly used his “fame, money and popularity” to systematically “prey upon children and young women for his own sexual gratification.” They added that “He continued his crimes and avoided punishment for them for almost 30 years and must now be held to account.”
Firing back, Kelly’s lawyers instead argued for him to only receive a maximum punishment of about 17 years in prison, with further federal sentencing guidelines.
In addition to Kelly’s upcoming sentencing in his NYC case, he still faces additional charges in his federal case out of Chicago, Illinois and a state trial in Minnesota.

Under The Jail Forever: R. Kelly Survivor Says ’25 Years In Prison Is Too Low’ & He’ll ‘Continue To Prey Upon Women & Men’
After catching wind of the prosecution’s request for 25 years, R. Kelly survivor Lizzette Martinez says “25 years is too low” and that Kelly will “continue to prey upon women and me.”
Martinez urges the prosecution to reconsider their 25-year recommendation to instead be listed as life in prison. She says Kelly has more than earned a life sentence simply because he has hurt so may people over several decades.
Martinez claims that abuse will never come to an end, as she agrees with federal prosecutors who notate that the singer has proven time and time again that he uses his power to get what he wants.
In order to stop him from having any further chances of preying on women again, Martinez says he must be put “under the jail forever.”
Another R. Kelly survivor, Kitti Jones, also caught wind of the prosecutor’s 25-year recommendation and said that she does not have an issue with their memo. However, she further notes that no amount of time in prison will ever give her, nor the other survivors, back their time or erase their years of lifelong trauma.
