R.Kelly doesn’t want the feds to prove he allegedly groomed and sexually abused a 17-year-old boy because the jury might be homophobic.

As previously reported, prosecutors unveiled weeks before R.Kelly’s trial that he allegedly groomed and had a sexual relationship with the teen after meeting him at a McDonald’s in the mid-2000s. TMZ reported that a second male teen was involved and met R.Kelly through that relationship but things didn’t turn sexual until several years later. The singer also allegedly recorded sexual encounters with the male teens.

Now, R.Kelly’s legal team is arguing that the new evidence could sway the jury based on the context and can change the outcome of the verdict if they are homophobic. Additionally, they feel that the evidence should not be included in the upcoming trial because jury questionnaires are already filed and submitted.
