Apparently, the 53-year-old singer was sitting on his bed when another man walked in his cell and started punching him, but the fight didn’t last long, Sources say Kelly was examined by a doctor, who determined the singer was okay. He didn’t have any broken bones or serious injuries.

The motive? Well, the inmate was reportedly angry about the detention facility being placed on lockdown a couple of times largely due to Kelly protesters outside the jail, TMZ reports. A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau Of Prisons was able to comment on the situation as an individual inmate’s conditions of confinement or medical status due to privacy and safety reasons.

As we previously reported, Kelly turned himself in back in 2019 after being hit with federal sex trafficking charges. Kelly has tried to get out of jail but all of his bid’s were shot down by a judge who beloved he is a flight risk to the community.
