Quinn Coleman, Son Of Former BET President Debra Lee, Passes Away
Socialites, join us in sending prayers to the family of Quinn Coleman, who has reportedly passed away on Monday (Aug 17). Responding to the breaking reports, social media was flooded with tributes mourning the tragic death of Coleman, who is the son of former BET president Debra Lee. Coleman held duties as the senior director of A&R at Capitol Records, and was also a DJ, spinning under the moniker DJ Spicoli.
Additionally, reports state that Coleman was pronounced dead on Monday, with his cause of death still unknown and unconfirmed to the public. An official statement from the family hasn’t been released yet either. We will continue to keep you updated.

Furthermore, tributes have continued to pour in from those close to and inspired by Coleman. Producer Kenny Beats wrote, “RIP QUINN COLEMAN A LEGENDARY PERSON, DJ, A&R, FRIEND, AND BROTHER LOVE YOU FOREVER DUDE CHECK ON YOUR FRIENDS EVERYDAY.” New York duo Brasstracks also wrote on Twitter, “Quinn Coleman wasn’t just our A&R, he was a close friend. when the time was right he took a chance on us and changed our lives. we spoke on the phone regularly. we had big plans. I just woke up to the news that he’s no longer with us. im still processing. RIP Quinn.”
