“The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.”

Aa we reported, the disgraced Prince Andrew stepped back from public duties in 2019, after a BBC interview blasted his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre claimed that Andrew forced her to have sex with him on three separate accusations between 1999 and 2002.

Giuffre, 38, spoke to PEOPLE previously saying, “I am holding Prince Andrew accountable for what he did to me. The powerful and rich are not exempt from being held responsible for their actions. I hope that other victims will see that it is possible not to live in silence and fear, but to reclaim one’s life by speaking out and demanding justice.”

“As a matter of procedure MPS [Metropolitan Police Service] officers reviewed a document released in August 2021 as part of a U.S. civil action. This review has concluded and we are taking no further action,” per CNN. “The Metropolitan Police Service continues to liaise with other law enforcement agencies who lead the investigation into matters related to Jeffrey Epstein.”
