Queen Elizabeth ‘Has Been Amazing’ Following Prince Philip Death
While visiting the monarch this weekend with her husband and Earl of Wessex Prince Edward, Countess Sophie Wessex says her mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth “has been amazing” following the death of husband Prince Philip.
Upon exiting the Windsor Castle on Saturday (Apr. 10) after checking in on the Queen, an emotional and teary-eyed Sophie told reporters, “the Queen has been amazing.”

Edward and Sophie are just some of the family members who have been making their way to Her Majesty to comfort her. Others include Prince Andrew, who was also seen leaving the Queen’s castle on Saturday. A day ahead, Prince Charles was spotted exiting Windsor Castle after his father’s death. Meanwhile, grandson Prince Harry will also be making his way from California to the UK to mourn his grandfather, without his pregnant wife Meghan Markle.
As we reported on Friday (Apr. 9), Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, passed away at age 99 inside the castle, with his wife of 73-plus years at his side.
