Quawan Charles Independent Autopsy Confirms Drowning, Circumstances Still Unclear

Recently, we shared the devastating story of 15-year-old Quawan Charles, who went missing after leaving with his white friend and his mother. His body was later found in horrific condition similar to that of Emmett Till.

As we reported, his family did an independent autopsy and per TMZ the findings from American Forensics confirm that a drowning did occur, adding that the initial autopsy done by the Iberia Parish coroner’s office in Louisiana was correct. They also claim that there is no sign of trauma, however, his manner of death is unknown.

The autopsy adds that a final report is pending toxicology and histology results.

As we reported, Quawan’s family us not buying it,

“Quawan’s face — you can see that it’s just about gone,”Quawan’s cousin, Celina Charles said. “The coroner told us that there was no blunt force trauma to the head and no sign of strangulation, but when you look at him, you see something totally different from what the coroner said.”

His brutalized body was found by the police in a wooded area in Loreauville on Nov. 3. He was unrecognizable. Despite the horrific nature of the case, police have reportedly been unhelpful in answering the family’s questions. They also failed to put out an Amber Alert.
