Quavo and his initiative, Quavo Cares, celebrated the return of Huncho Farms for its second annual event, enriching the lives of Atlanta residents facing food insecurities. In partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Atlanta City Council, this vibrant community event has quickly become a beacon of support, particularly for seniors raising their grandchildren.

The event was held at a marketplace mimicking a local farmers market, featuring tents packed with abundant fresh produce, meats, bread, pastries, and more. The atmosphere was festive, underscored by live music and holiday-themed activities that entertained and engaged the 500 families in attendance. Adding a personal touch to the event, attendees received a custom Huncho Farms cookbook filled with nutritious, easy-to-make holiday recipes, ensuring families are left with supplies and the know-how to create healthful meals during the holidays.
Quavo made a heartfelt appearance at the event, demonstrating his commitment to the community alongside notable local figures such as Councilwoman Andrea Boone and representatives from HOPE Hustlers, a leading criminal violence intervention (CVI) organization. This collaboration highlighted the broader community efforts under The Rocket Foundation’s SPARK grants program, showcasing a united front in tackling the challenges faced by Atlanta’s residents.
“I’m so grateful that Quavo and the Quavo Cares Foundation chose this community for their Huncho Farms event this year. This neighborhood is situated in a food desert, where a vast number of grandparents are raising their grandchildren,” said Andrea Boone, Atlanta City Council 10.

Huncho Farms originated from Quavo Cares’ initial Thanksgiving drive-thru distributions, which, over two years, successfully provided local families with turkeys, holiday meals, essential household items, and GoPuff gift cards, personally handed out by Quavo himself. The overwhelming success of these initiatives garnered additional support, including a substantial $150K grant from the Tender Foundation, explicitly aimed at supporting single black mothers through a guaranteed income program.
Expanding beyond its initial offerings, Huncho Farms has grown to incorporate resources and partnerships with major organizations like Walmart, Feeding America, New Bethel Ministries, and the Atlanta Community Food Bank. These collaborations help extend the reach of Quavo Cares, ensuring families throughout Gwinnett, Fulton, and Dekalb counties benefit from the foundation’s efforts. This annual event addresses immediate food scarcity and fosters a sense of community and continuity, helping to ensure that those in need are not forgotten during the holiday season and beyond. With its focus on providing food and a pathway to more stability, Huncho Farms exemplifies the power of community and celebrity influence in making a tangible, lasting impact.
